I’ve been reminded of this quote and its message often in recent months . . .

It’s more than expressing gratitude to someone for a special effort . . . that’s important.

It’s more than creating a special celebration in recognition of someone who has done good deeds . . . that’s important.

It’s what is done when no one is looking that makes that generous donor truly feel special. It may be an informal thank you seeking his/her opinions privately; showing him/her the impact of the amazing efforts; the personal note that says how much all is appreciated; or the friendly phone call. It’s the token of friendship.
