Priorities, Resources and Plans

Our client services and sales efforts position us to see the work of some very talented and exceptional development staff.  How these staff leaders use available resources has a significant impact on fund raising results.  Operating budgets are tight . . . and there is little room for experimentation or error.  Yet, when you think about the use of resources, you have to ask, “Would we invest $10k worth of staff time to generate a $1,000,000 gift?”  The answer should be simple!

There is a great deal of wisdom exhibited throughout this blog that addresses ways to maximize your resources.  I encourage you to think about what you should do differently in 2012 to achieve greater gift and donor results.  How can you make 2012 the finest “Major Gifts Year” in your organization’s history?
